Hi
Can anyone advise how to change the GPS antenna for a 2002 exclsuive model with the built in colour screen vdo dayton rt2 system ?
Also, where can I buy a replacement antenna ?
Is there any known fix for a screen that flickers ?...(maybe a poor connection ?)
cheers
Paul

GPS antenna is in antennas bottom and cable is connected under roof upholstery (see photos: .link. )

if the screen flickers - blanks - it may be dying telematic unit
pn: 6563 N6 -> a bit expensive part, better is to look for some old one

hope this helps

You wanna replace whole antenna's widget?
Or just the upper wand?
Just the uper wand is replaceable... Don't need any special one, 'cause gps is in the lower part... can see here .link.

GPS antenna is in widget
there are about 8 part numbers for it (depends on which model you have)
I think cheaper and faster solution is to buy GPS antenna in some shop and that antenna connect directly to NAVI unit (it is connected to navi mechanic in glove box)
If that helps just hide the antenna somewhere after it ...
somewhere - hopefully i have photo of that connector, will put it here

btw: original antenna got 3 connectors - one on the back of the car (green connector on photos), second near navi unit (again green connector), third is navi unit (cd drive)

edit: .link. - photo of antenna connector
.link. - back of navi unit
